Welcome to my blog!

Welcome to my little online home...I have been overwhelmed by God's unconditional love and grace and enjoy writing about what God is teaching me... In 2025 I am writing meditations on Revelations of Divine Love by Julian of Norwich (published in 1901 by translator Grace Warrack). God used this book to encourage me so much in my life. If you are not interested in this, feel free to read some of my posts from previous years! Blessings to you and have a great day!

He Chose to Offer Himself to Us

"The Love of Him was so strong which He hath to our soul that willingly He chose it (suffering for us) with great desire, and mildly He suffered it with well-pleasing."

Julian of Norwich (Ch. 20)

The love of Christ was so strong and so big that He was willing to do anything for us, anything to help us, anything to save us from the pain and suffering and death we were trapped in, anything to get us free and safely brought into eternal life with God. We were not seeing that great love, were blind to it in many ways, lost in our own pain and the darkness of confusion. Christ came down to us in the midst of our pain and confusion and He offered Himself to us willingly, choosing to show vulnerability in His love for us. It was as if He said, "Here I am, do with Me as you please." And we in our confusion and blindness murdered the innocent Son of God. Yet He only forgave us, only had infinite understanding and patience with us, only saw us as sheep without a shepherd, little lost ones needing help. He was beaten and killed by us, the ones He loved so much, but He simply absorbed all our blows and all our anger and He dissolved it all in His love. Love was on the cross, loving us, the confused torturers and killers of Love. Love was showing us that He is all love, and only love, and we have nothing to fear from such a God, nothing to be suspicious of in such a God. The One we feared and killed only loved and forgave us. The One we believed lies about showed us the truth about Himself. The One we had been longing for deep inside, but fearing rejection from, showed us we could even kill Him and He would not reject us. What kind of love is this? It is a love that won't let go. It is an acceptance that banishes all fear of rejection. It is the wonderful reality of grace. God loves us to the death! Even death itself can't stop our God from loving us! We are safe in this love. We are saved by this love forever!

"God clearly shows and proves His own love for us, by the fact that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us."

Romans 5:8 (AMP)

A Prayer: I am astounded by Your love!

May the amazing grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, the extravagant love of God, and the intimate friendship of the Holy Spirit be with all of you. 2 Co. 13:14
