Here is another post by Jo Gravell on our true identity in Christ:
For They Know Not What They Do
by Jo Gravell
For me the words 'father forgive them for they know not what they do...' have become so vital to my understanding of this question of late.
No matter what man/woman did to him, even the worst thing possible, murder, mutilate, strip naked, despise, mock and demean, God made manifest in the flesh was convinced of our worth. God so loved us....a full blown manifestation of the hatred that exist in the heart of humanity because of all our false thinking cannot prevent, stop the love of God and cannot change who we really are. This hatred does not belong to us, Christ demonstrated that.
We are birthed of God, existed in God before time began and so the cross was a demonstration of God's commitment and persuasion of our true identity. We are Christ's brothers and sisters and no amount of hatred, towards ourselves or from others can keep us down. Even our total ignorance and denial of who we really are could not change his course of action. We are known and always have been.
Resurrection Life is ours! We are eternal beings, always were, always will be one with God.
Christ Jesus demonstrated this truth as He refused to cave in to the pressure and lies that held us bound. One glimpse of this dissolves all the years of fear and inferior living and causes our Hearts to ascend back to our real home birth place....in God, in peace, in power, in joy, in Life itself.
