Welcome to my blog!

Welcome to my little online home...I have been overwhelmed by God's unconditional love and grace and enjoy writing about what God is teaching me... In 2025 I am writing meditations on Revelations of Divine Love by Julian of Norwich (published in 1901 by translator Grace Warrack). God used this book to encourage me so much in my life. If you are not interested in this, feel free to read some of my posts from previous years! Blessings to you and have a great day!

Spouse and Bride

"And in the knitting and the oneing He is our Very, True Spouse, and we His loved Wife, His Fair Maiden: with which Wife He is never displeased."

Julian of Norwich (Ch. 58)

Christ has knit or oned Himself to our humanity, and one way to look at our relationship with Christ is that of a Spouse and His beloved wife. We are called the Bride of Christ, and Christ cares for us like a husband would his dear wife. He treats us with special love and care, treasures and honors us. He gives us freedom to be ourselves, never manipulating or dominating us but instead empowering us. He treats us as important and valuable equals, caring about our opinions, hopes and dreams. He sees us as His partners in this life and work. He shares His plans for the future with us, bringing us into co-dreaming and co-creating a beautiful future together. He accepts us as we are and sees the best in us, calling us beautiful and perfect even when we don't see ourselves that way. He encourages us and gives us space to be ourselves, and He doesn't berate us when we fail but is simply there for us, helping us and supporting us, cheering us on in life. He makes sure we feel seen and heard and is fine with letting us shine.  He loves spending time with us just doing nothing but being together and having fun. He enjoys making us laugh, seeing us happy, and watching us live out our goals and dreams. He is there for us in the hard or sad times and is faithful to us no matter what. He always has something good and positive to say to us. He always believes in us and always hugs and kisses us. He never is disappointed or angry with us. He always is pleased with who we are as His wife. He thinks we are just wonderful. He is the perfect Spouse!

And as a bridegroom rejoices over his bride,
So will your God rejoice over you.

Isaiah 62:5 (NIV)

"I’ll marry you for good—forever! I’ll marry you true and proper, in love and tenderness. Yes, I’ll marry you and neither leave you nor let you go. You’ll know me, God, for who I really am."

Hosea 2:19-20 (MSG)

A Prayer: You are the perfect Bridegroom and we are Your beautiful Bride!

May the amazing grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, the extravagant love of God, and the intimate friendship of the Holy Spirit be with all of you. 2 Co. 13:14
