"And I saw full surely that ere God made us He loved us; which love was never slacked, nor ever shall be. "
Julian of Norwich (Ch. 86)
Before we were ever created, we already existed in God's mind, in God's heart, in God's love. Before we were even made, we were already loved. This love has wrapped around us like a blanket every day of our lives. This love is always at the maximum amount, so we could not be loved any more than we already are loved by God, or any less. Nothing we have ever done, are doing or ever will do could ever keep God from loving us or lessen His love. His love accepts us as we are, values us as precious, delights in everything about us, hurts with us, has compassion on us, sticks with us when others don't, and supports us in every moment. We just can't be unloved. We just can't be unlovable. This love won't stop coming to us, it won't let us go. So we might as well agree with God that we are loved, and that we are lovable, to the maximum amount, always and forever. God loves us, and it is the most true and real and important fact of our lives.
"Nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord."
Romans 8:39 (NLT)
"In your generous love I am really living at last!"
Psalm 63:3 (MSG)
A Prayer: Thank You for wrapping me in Your love no matter what. I love You!
