What He wants most from us is not our works, good behavior, service, praise, holiness, perfect theology or even our faith. He only wants to love us, to give everything of Himself to us. Love doesn't ask for anything in return. He isn't loving us in order to change us or 'use' us. He is simply loving us, whether we ever change, believe, or grow, or not, just because we're so irresistible to Him! We're His very own children, and what a parent wants most is not the child's good behavior but just for the child to know the parent loves them, no matter what, always and forever, to infinity and beyond! What a great heavenly Dad we have!
A thought: There are no ulterior motives in God's love.
