2 Corinthians 9:15
He gave us His own Son, a gift of unconditional love and salvation for all. The Son gave the gift of His life for us, to defeat all the darkness of sin that was hurting us and bring us new life in Him. And He gave us the gift of the Holy Spirit to be with us always, a Friend and Defender like no other. He gave us of His fullness, and grace upon grace. All this and so much more we are given for free, with nothing required of us in return. A gift is free or it isn't a gift. A gift is just meant to be enjoyed. So we are not in debt to God for this gift; He just longs for us to enjoy it, like you would enjoy a long cool drink of water on a hot day. This life isn't a test to pass or a project to complete, but a real gift to enjoy, and He loves watching us simply live it. All we can do is say Thank You, God, for such a gift beyond words!
A thought: God's gifts have no strings attached! I will enjoy the gift of life today.
