Welcome to my blog!

Welcome to my little online home...I have been overwhelmed by God's unconditional love and grace and enjoy writing about what God is teaching me... In 2025 I am writing meditations on Revelations of Divine Love by Julian of Norwich (published in 1901 by translator Grace Warrack). God used this book to encourage me so much in my life. If you are not interested in this, feel free to read some of my posts from previous years! Blessings to you and have a great day!

First Word and Last Word

"And right as in the first word that our good Lord shewed, signifying His blissful Passion,—Herewith is the devil overcome,—right so He said in the last word, with full true secureness, meaning us all: Thou shalt not be overcome. And all this teaching ...(is) true comfort."

Julian of Norwich (Ch. 68)

The first word - with the Passion the evil one is overcome - and the last word  - we shall not be overcome - Christ gave Julian in the revelation are both words of victory and overcoming. Because Christ, through His death and resurrection, conquered all evil, shame, condemnation, corruption and death once and for all, so we too shall not be overcome by any of those things. For we are in Christ. We died with Christ to sin, death, condemnation, accusation, judgment, struggle, sickness, shame and evil. And we rose with Christ to communion, victory, joy, peace, wellness, wholeness, righteousness, glory and life forevermore. All that He has done, He has done for us, and all that He has won, He has imparted to us. All that Christ has done, all that He shows us, is for our comfort and joy. He brings only peace and goodwill to us, only tidings of great joy for all people. What are these tidings? Christ has saved us! He has overcome all that would have pulled us down into death and sin, pain and shame, darkness and loss. We are rescued. He has brought from from confusion into clarity, from darkness into light, from death into life. Winter is over and Springtime is here, the time of singing has come. The last word will not be darkness or sorrow, it will be love and light. Evil will not win, goodness has already won and will show forth that victory everywhere, in everyone. Let us rejoice and be glad for the kingdom of this world has become the kingdom of Christ, and He shall reign forever; of His kingdom of acceptance, grace, union, peace, joy, love and kindness there shall be no end!

"God defeated the spiritual rulers and powers. With the cross God won the victory and defeated them. He showed the world that they were powerless."

Colossians 2:15 (ICB)

“The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of His Christ; and He will reign forever and ever.”

Revelation 11:5 (NASB)

A Prayer: Thank You for the victory You won for me over all evil and darkness.

May the amazing grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, the extravagant love of God, and the intimate friendship of the Holy Spirit be with all of you. 2 Co. 13:14
