He is
not going to wound our heart. He is not going to be harsh with us. He
is not going to berate us for our mistakes. He is not ever even
thinking about our mistakes! He is not going to mistreat us. He is not
going to reject us in any way. He is not going to be ashamed of us,
withdraw His favor from us, or turn away from us in disappointment. He
is not going to ever, ever withhold His presence, His blessing or His love from us!
He is the Safe Place where we can open up and be ourselves. He is
going to comfort us. He is always going to be understand us. He is
always going to hug us to His heart. He is always going to have a
refreshing, uplifting, and healing word. He is always going to make us
feel better, not worse! He is going to treat us with dignity and honor.
He is going to cherish and celebrate us. He is going to love us for
who we are. He is always going to approve of us and be proud of us. He
is always going to be there for us, supporting us.
The Mirror Bible translation puts it like this: "God is a fortress where everyone feels protected rather than exposed!"
