"Over the years, I have noticed that the greatest trap in our life is not success, popularity or power, but self-rejection. Success, popularity and power can indeed present a great temptation, but their seductive quality often comes from the way they are part of the much larger tempatation to self-rejection.
"When we have come to believe the voices that call us worthless, unlovable, then success, popularity and power are easily perceived as attractive solutions. The real trap, however, is self rejection...Self rejection is the greatest enemy of the spiritual life because it contradicts the sacred voice that calls us 'the beloved.' Being beloved constitutes the core truth of our existence."
Satan wants us feeling terrible about ourselves. He wants us to feel that we're terrible and rotten people, failures, worthless. These thoughts heap shame and condemnation on us and they are LIES! We can't speak of God's holy, precious children - US - in that way! He has made us beautiful, righteous, perfect, and pleasing in His sight. The sacred voice overwhelms and drowns out all other voices and tells us we are BELOVED! We can hold our heads high because we are beautiful to Him by grace through Jesus Christ!
Love to all from
