"I had no other answer in Shewing of our Lord God but this: That which is impossible to thee is not impossible to me: I shall save my word in all things and I shall make all things well."
Julian of Norwich (ch. 32)
We see situations and difficulties that seem insurmountable at times, and we see struggles with failures or challenges that seem too hard to overcome, but the answer is not our own efforts or our own willpower. The answer is a Someone, our wonderful Lord! There are many things too hard for us to handle, bear or conquer, but there is nothing too hard for Christ to handle, bear or conquer! What is impossible for humans is entirely possible and even easy for God. Whatever situation or struggle, pain or regret we can't imagine getting past, Christ is already past it, Christ has already overcome it. We can be at rest because He is handling things and we can be sure that it will work out and all shall be well, and we will see it with our own eyes! The worst situation will turn around to be wonderful, the greatest tragedy will be reversed, the greatest hurt will be healed, the most hopeless thing will work out to the very best, and things will be so good that they couldn't be improved on in any way. So we can say, 'Of course I can't handle this, but I don't have to; God can handle it and God show me the victory!" For the word impossible just isn't in God's vocabulary. He can literally do anything, and He will do everything for us, His beloveds! He isn't going to let anything get in the way of our ultimate joy in His presence!
"Jesus looked at them and said, 'With people, this is impossible. But not with God. All things are possible with God.'"
Mark 10:27 (NIRV)
