A Pure Gift

Since we've compiled this long and sorry record as sinners... and proved that we are utterly incapable of living the glorious lives God wills for us, God did it for us.

Out of sheer generosity he put us in right standing with himself.

A pure gift.

He got us out of the mess we're in and restored us to where he always wanted us to be.

And he did it by means of Jesus Christ.

                                                            The Message

We're made right with God by Jesus' finished work, all a gift by God's grace!  We simply receive (by faith) and enjoy this wonderful gift!  Life with God isn't about trying to get right or stay right with Him - it's about enjoying the right relationship that He's ALREADY given us as a pure grace gift!   When we see our imperfections and failures and think that messes up our relationship with Him, His Spirit within is saying that we are perfectly related to God, that we are fine in Him, that we are okay with Him.  He's already taken care of every sin.  Every sin is gone, taken out of the way on the cross forever.  Now it's time to enjoy the party!  That's the love party being thrown to celebrate His grace and love and presence in our lives, and His victory over sin, condemnation and death!   It's time to just "be" with Him who loves us, to share our deepest thoughts, to enjoy one another other, to walk through life hand in hand and heart in heart!  Nothing will ever come between us!  Sin doesn't matter - it doesn't change our relationship with Him ONE BIT!  Sin will never make Him go away - on the contrary, He made sin go away from us!  In His presence is perfect freedom, love, strength, joy and acceptance!  We have the irrevocable gift of right standing with God - a perfect, right and acceptable union relationship with Him.  What a joy!

                        With love to all,
May the amazing grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, the extravagant love of God, and the intimate friendship of the Holy Spirit be with all of you. 2 Co. 13:14
