Human nature comes from Christ. In fact it was first prepared for Christ long before we came on the scene. It was made for Christ before it was ever made for us, for He is the Lamb slain as a human being from the foundation of the world. This fair human nature of Christ served as the template for humanity's creation. And this fair nature of Christ served as the means of man's salvation. All was prepared before we were even created, before anyone even sinned, before there was even a need for salvation. Yet all was ready and in fact done before our history even began. It is as if Christ said, "You humans will come forth from Me, with a nature sourced in my own nature. You will be very good. You will be sons and daughters of God. And I know that you will be changeable and susceptible to false paths, and I know that you will make mistakes, get confused, fall down and even die. But it is okay, because I am the resurrection and the life. By My nature you were created and by My nature you are saved. My perfect human nature will completely do the work needed and I will raise you up from death with me. You will share my resurrection life with Me, in union with Me. And all shall be well!"
The Son stands first in the line of humanity he restored. We see the original and intended shape of our lives there in him.
